SelectHikes features unique GPS hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing destinations in the Rocky Mountain region. The trips on this site are typically of little-known areas that are gems to experienced hikers and other backcountry travelers.

As of April 29, 2008, the South Boulder Creek Trail from East Portal still has stellar snow for snowshoes and probably skiing as well. Trip report coming soon!

High fuel prices have kept our trips limited to the foothills and mountains west of Denver, Colorado. But, we are expanding over time. For the Denver, Golden, and Boulder folks, you might find some interesting hikes on this site that are a little closer to home than you are used to.
